How to play

Slide every tile across the board with the arrow keys, WASD, or a swipe on mobile. Tiles with the same number merge into one when they collide, doubling its value and adding it to your score. After each move a new tile appears — mostly a 2, occasionally a 4. Chain merges to build bigger numbers and reach the golden 2048 tile to win, or keep going for an even higher score. The game ends when the board is full and no more merges are possible. Your best score is saved automatically in this browser.
